Form-fitting module connects to your V-RAPTOR or V-RAPTOR XL camera to unlock 8K Live cinematic streaming. The module attaches securely to the back of your camera via the V-Lock battery mechanism and CFexpress media slot to create a high-speed data connection via fiber optic cable for livestream, remote record, PTP sync and other capabilities.
BUY NOWThe CCU must handle the bandwidth of the incoming data stream and have GPUs/DPUs/FPGAs that are capable of decompressing and debayering the R3D data with minimal latency. The RED Connect app is a service that runs in the background to accept and finalize the R3D. For more advanced users, RED’s SDK is available to create a custom workflow, both on Windows and Linux. The GPU-based reference CCU was designed and tested to handle 8K 120p continuous operation.
