Las Vegas, NV -- RED Digital Cinema introduces RED DRAGON, the 6K sensor for RED EPIC cameras and many other innovations at the NAB Show this week. From shooting to post-production to playing, RED aims to provide the ultimate ultra high-definition solutions.

RED Digital Cinema introduces its most powerful sensor yet. The RED DRAGON for RED EPIC shoots in 6K Resolution at 100 frames per second with impressive native dynamic range. The RED DRAGON sensor translates to 9 times more resolution than High Definition and over 19 megapixels.

Once again proving OBSOLESCENCE OBSOLETE, RED EPIC and SCARLET owners will be able to upgrade their existing sensors to RED DRAGON.

RED has also launched its RED COMMAND PROTOCOL (R.C.P.) family of products at the NAB Show. Comprised of the Meizler Module, REDSync Master, R.C.P. Wireless Receivers and the REDSync App, the R.C.P. product family includes everything one needs to go wireless on set. Transmit video, audio, and timecode wirelessly and control it all from an iOS app.

Optimized for the 6K Dragon sensor, RED ROCKET-X is a REDCODE acceleration board designed to enhance 4K playback and transcoding. RED ROCKET-X provides real time 4K playback directly to your 4K display or projector. Compared to the previous RED ROCKET, RED ROCKET-X processes and transcodes files 5x faster.

On display at the NAB Show is the REDRAY, RED's 4K Professional Cinema Player. REDRAY is the first commercially available 4K cinema player.

RED Digital Cinema continues to push education initiatives including courses that teach RED's own cameras and workflow (REDucation) and digital movie making as a whole (REDucation-X). Concentrated segments of REDucation are being held at RED's booth at NAB Monday and Tuesday. RED is also proud to announce student pricing for students to begin May 1, 2013.
