RED Congratulates 2013 Emmy Nominees

On Thursday morning, The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominees for the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards. RED congratulates Behind the Candelabra, House of Cards, Louie, Arrested Development, Defiance and Halo 4:Forward Unto Dawn -- all shot on RED -- for their nominations.

Behind the Candelabra was nominated in an impressive 15 categories including Outstanding Miniseries or Movie. Michael Douglas and Matt Damon were recognized with nominations for Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie. Scott Bakula received a nomination in the Supporting Actor category. Steven Soderbergh received a nomination for Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special and also Outstanding Cinematography for a Miniseries or Movie under his Director of Photography pseudonym, Peter Andrews. The production was also nominated for Single-camera Picture Editing in a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special.

House of Cards collected 9 nominations and broke ground in the Outstanding Drama Series category as the first digital series to ever be nominated. David Fincher collected a nomination for Outstanding Director, while Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright were been nominated in the category of Lead Actor and Lead Actress in a Drama Series. House of Cards also received nominations for Cinematography For a Single-camera and Single-Camera Picture Editing in a Dramatic Series.

Louie increased its nominations this year to 6, including Outstanding Comedy Series. Creator, writer and star, Louis CK, is nominated in the Comedy Series categories for Outstanding Directing, Lead Actor, and Writing. Melissa Leo received a nomination for Guest Actress for her role as Laurie, along with the show being nominated for Single-camera Picture Editing for a Comedy Series.

Arrested Development's Jason Bateman received a nomination for his reprised role as Michael Bluth, and the series received nominations in the categories Single-camera Picture Editing For a Comedy Series and Music Composition for a Series.
